An American art student, Gina, uncovers a hidden painting in a gothic church while working as an art restorer in Italy. She later visits her friend Catherine at her inherited castle, where they attend a carnival and meet the charismatic but sinister leader. As the night unfolds, the girls are drugged and assaulted by the magician and his accomplice. The next morning, they barely recall the events. Catherine receives a visit from her ancestor's spirit, revealing a portal to a mystical realm where the carnival operates. She learns that the brothers are cursed, transforming into beastmen daily, and decides to help the "good" brother break the curse, risking their lives.
