Famous General Michael Strogoff, once respected and highly esteemed, has fallen into a state of decline since the death of his wife. The Tsar asks Strogoff to find his young nephew and heir, Boris, who has escaped the Tartars but remains missing. Strogoff agrees, hoping to take revenge on Ogareff, who murdered his wife and unborn child.
