On Halloween night, a group of friends, including Vince, Lois, Nick, and Reggie, offer a ride to Holly and Abbie after fixing Holly's car. When they stop at a convenience store, a clerk with a shotgun suspects them, but Vince takes control of the situation. However, things escalate when Vince accidentally shoots a police officer, and they flee the scene. The van is damaged, and Vince leads the group to the cursed Hull House instead of taking Reggie to the hospital. There, they meet Angela, a demon in human form, while the police officer who was shot is revealed to be wearing a bulletproof vest and is not injured.
