The gang is mistaken for robbers and arrested, but the Chief soon releases them, thinking they'll lead him to the real culprits. Meanwhile, one of the gang members, Duke, betrays the others and takes the stolen money, unknowingly heading to a dude ranch where Gene and his friends are staying. The gang later shows up to reclaim the loot, only to find Gene and his friends trapped in a building.
