In the 1860s, a group of five men relentlessly pursue a wounded fugitive across Nevada, driven by a promise of a daily wage from their leader, Carver. The hunted, Gideon, is a skilled and resourceful individual with a talent for survival. As the two groups navigate the harsh desert landscape, they encounter various settlers, wagon trains, and Native American tribes, all while seeking to uncover the reason behind the hunt and the connection between Gideon and Carver that dates back to a fateful event at Seraphim Falls.
