An 18-year-old Mexican-American youth returns to Los Angeles, seeking a career in acting. However, his father, a pimp, pressures him to join the family business of male prostitution. The youth reluctantly agrees, but soon finds an opportunity to land a small role on a soap opera. His client, a wealthy soap star, offers him the part, but his father disapproves, demanding he cut ties with her.
