Biography

Dominic Flores is a multifaceted individual whose life has been shaped by the picturesque beach cities of Southern California, where he was born and raised.

Dominic's early years were marked by a thrilling adventure alongside his father, as they traveled and performed a distinctive amalgamation of Latin and hip hop musical styles, a fusion that captivated audiences, until the year 1996 brought a significant turning point in his life.

In that same pivotal year, Dominic's artistic inclinations shifted, as he began to nurture his deep-seated passion for the world of acting, undergoing rigorous training at the esteemed South Coast Repertory theater, located in the picturesque city of Costa Mesa, a renowned institution that has produced numerous talented performers.

His formative years in the theater were marked by a string of impressive performances, both on the main stage and in the second stage productions, which ultimately propelled him to relocate to the vibrant city of Los Angeles.

It was in this new environment that he secured his first major role in the film "Starmaps", a cinematic endeavour directed by the acclaimed Miguel Arteta, which premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 1997. The film garnered widespread critical acclaim, leading to a theatrical release courtesy of the esteemed Fox Searchlight.

Dominic, a talented actor, emerged from a decade-long hiatus in the entertainment industry in the year 2007, marking his triumphant return to the big and small screens. During this resurgence, he secured a series of small but significant roles in prominent network television shows, including the critically acclaimed series "House", the gritty and intense "Sons of Anarchy", the quirky and humorous "My Name is Earl", and the offbeat and charming "New Girl".

In addition to his television endeavors, Dominic also made notable appearances in a variety of films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Some of his notable film credits include "Peep World", a dark comedy that explores the complexities of family dynamics, "My Name is Khan", a thought-provoking drama that tackles issues of identity and prejudice, and "Rampart", a gritty and intense crime drama that co-starred the acclaimed actor Woody Harrelson and was directed by the talented Oren Moverman.

Dominic's professional journey took a significant turn in 2014 when he secured his first starring role in a studio film, bringing to life the complex and intriguing character of Hugo Barco, a corrupt politician, opposite the talented Sandra Bullock in the critically acclaimed movie "Our Brand is Crisis". This highly anticipated film, produced by the renowned George Clooney and his esteemed production company Smokehouse, in collaboration with Warner Brothers, was released in 2015 to great fanfare.

Based on a true story, the film masterfully captures the narrative of American politicians who are hired to elect an undesirable candidate in Bolivia, and the far-reaching consequences that ensue from their actions. Under the expert direction of David Gordon Green, this cinematic masterpiece boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring the talents of Billy Bob Thornton, Zoe Kazan, and Anthony Mackie, among others.

Dominic's personal life is marked by a deep sense of commitment and partnership, as he is married to the talented producer Kristen Ridgway Flores. This union has been blessed with the arrival of three precious children, who bring immense joy and fulfillment to their lives.

Dominic and Kristen, the dynamic duo behind the Feel Good Film Festival, a three-day extravaganza of cinematic delights, brought their vision to life in the heart of Hollywood. Established in 2008 at the iconic Egyptian theater, the festival ran for four consecutive years until its conclusion in 2012.
