A man named Jack meets Adrian in Nevada, and Adrian becomes obsessed with him. Despite Jack's attempts to shake Adrian, the latter threatens to expose Jack's secret to the police. As they move around, news reports of a serial killer called "The Hatchet Man" and a casino heist dominate the radio. Jack is hiding a valuable briefcase, and the killer seems to strike whenever they're near.
