In a small Indiana town, basketball is a revered tradition. Bill, a former athlete and coach, has hit rock bottom: he's now a waitress at a local cafe, struggling to connect with his estranged teenage daughter. When a friend offers him a coaching job for the girls' team, Bill reluctantly accepts. With a motley crew of players, including one with a broken foot, he faces a daunting task.
