In the aftermath of a shipwreck, identical twins Viola and Sebastian are torn apart, each mistakenly assuming the other has perished. Viola, now alone, conceals her identity by adopting the persona of a male page, Cesario, and finds herself in the service of Duke Orsino. As Cesario, she is tasked with wooing the enigmatic Lady Olivia on Orsino's behalf, leading to a tangled web of misunderstandings and romantic entanglements.
