Undercurrent

Ann Hamilton, a spinster approaching middle age, is intelligent but unsophisticated. She turns down marriage proposals and focuses on being her tomboyish self. When she meets wealthy industrialist Alan Garroway, they have a whirlwind courtship and marry. However, Ann struggles to fit into Alan's high-society world and begins to doubt their relationship when she discovers Alan has a estranged brother, Michael, who he hid from her.
