Miss Hinklefink inherits a western ranch and invites a group of students to spend their summer vacation there, with Professor Townley as their chaperone. However, their fun is disrupted when the ranch is robbed and real-estate agent Tom Sneed tries to persuade Miss Hinklefink to send the kids home. Meanwhile, Freddie is mistaken for a notorious outlaw and is targeted by Sneed's henchmen.
