Two outlaws, Shamrock Ellison and Lucky Hayden, are mistaken for bank robbers by a marshal and are pursued by the Cyclone Kid and his gang. The marshal, Charley Blythe, helps them fend off the outlaws but is injured and takes a break to recover. Meanwhile, the Cyclone Kid plots to steal an oil-rich ranch that actually belongs to Shamrock, who is unaware of his claim.

Mistaken identities lead two men into a wild goose chase as they're relentlessly pursued by a determined marshal, only to find themselves unexpectedly rescued by him after being ambushed by the very gang he's been hunting.
