In a world where a technologically advanced, emotionless society, comprised entirely of asexual men created through cloning, sets its sights on Earth, its leader Graydon sends his most promising student, Harold Anderson, to infiltrate and impregnate a human woman. Disguised as a banker in Phoenix, Harold is equipped with a humming prosthetic and struggles to connect with women until he meets Susan, a promiscuous and troubled individual at an AA meeting. Despite her reservations, Susan agrees to marry Harold, and when she becomes pregnant, he begins to experience unexpected emotions. As Harold navigates his new life, a Federal Aviation Administration agent, Roland Jones, becomes suspicious of his true identity and intentions.
