Allan Quatermain and Jesse, who survived their previous adventure, are now engaged to be married. However, their plans are disrupted when a friend, Dumont, emerges from the jungle, pursued by two masked men. Before he dies, Dumont reveals that Allan's lost brother, Robeson, is alive and has found the legendary Lost City of Gold. Quatermain sets out on an expedition to find his brother, accompanied by Jesse, Umslopogaas, a fearless warrior, and others. They face numerous challenges, including boobytraps, savage warriors, and treacherous terrain. Eventually, they discover the city, where they meet Robeson and the two queens, Nyleptha and Sorais. However, the real power lies with the evil High Priest, Agon, who must be overthrown. Allan and his friends use the city's gold to create weapons and ultimately defeat Agon and his army in a dramatic battle.
