Frank Taylor, disillusioned after missing out on a foremanship opportunity to a foreign-born candidate, joins the Black Legion, a secretive organization with anti-immigrant and anti-foreigner views. As he becomes increasingly embroiled with the group, Frank's relationships with his wife and best friend Ed Jackson begin to fray.
