Billy Wagstaff, a laid-back slacker, leaves his Venice Beach home to pursue his snowboarding dreams at a prestigious academy in Pine Mountain. Upon arrival, he finds himself caught up in a local feud between the mountain's egotistical owner, Colonel Jaffe, and the quirky locals led by activist J.P. Millhouse and coffee shop owner Naomi Bucks. After being kicked out of the academy, Billy joins forces with the "poories" to take down Colonel Jaffe's group of "richies" in a battle of wits and snowboarding skills.
