In the Florida Everglades, a group of activists' efforts to protect the area's wildlife have unexpected consequences. Pythons, once under control, begin to overpopulate and threaten the native alligator population. As the two species clash, a desperate plan is put into action: introducing an even more formidable predator to counter the threat.
