Elvis Presley plays Charlie Rogers, a rebellious biker who gets fired after a bar fight and must join a traveling carnival to repair his motorcycle. There, he finds an unconventional family among the carnival workers, including a tough matriarch, a drunk father, and a beautiful daughter. As Charlie navigates this new world, he learns about the importance of family despite his own troubled past as an orphan. However, a rival carny with ties to Elvis' real-life manager Colonel Tom Parker threatens to disrupt their harmony.
