A down-on-his-luck advertising agent discovers a strong redneck mechanic in rural Tennessee and sees an opportunity to promote his company's cereal product by training the mechanic for the Olympic weightlifting events in Munich. However, the agent soon realizes that the mechanic's rural lifting skills are far from Olympic material. As the agent works to get the mechanic trained and qualified, the mechanic becomes distracted by a cute Russian gymnast.
