Valentina is nearing her doomed age, and Doctor Parnassus bets with the devil again, with the winner getting Valentina as a prize. Meanwhile, the troupe rescues a young man, Tony, and he falls in love with Valentina, causing tension with Anton, who is jealous of the competition.
