An elderly Icelander leaves his rural home to move into a Reykjavik senior care facility, where he renews a childhood bond with Stella, only to grow disillusioned with his new surroundings.

A former farmer, Old Thorgeir, is forced to relocate to a Reykjavik retirement home, where he reconnects with an old childhood friend, Stella.
