Crimson Tide

A group of Russian rebels seize control of ICBMs, prompting the Americans to mobilize their forces. The USS Alabama, a nuclear submarine, is dispatched to the scene, with Commander Hunter taking the helm as its new executive officer. As tensions rise, Hunter clashes with Captain Ramsey over the handling of a critical incident, revealing their vastly different backgrounds and approaches. When the ship receives a crucial order, communication equipment malfunctions, leading to a disagreement over how to proceed. The rift between the two men ultimately culminates in Hunter relieving Ramsey of his duties. However, a group of officers question Hunter's ability to lead, and a power struggle ensues. But Hunter has anticipated this and taken measures to maintain control.
