Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Ernie Lesure's journey began in the esteemed Air Force Academy, where he honed his skills before pursuing his passion for theater at the University of Southern California. During his time at USC, Lesure not only earned his bachelor's degree in theater but also expanded his horizons by studying abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. This enriching experience allowed him to tread the boards in productions such as Hair and The Island, as well as fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming an amateur boxer.
Lesure's impressive theater credentials continued as he joined a professional theater company in Los Angeles, where he brought the iconic role of Macduff to life in William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
