In the early 90s, a motorcycle gang leader Dilan, from Bandung, forms a relationship with a new student from Jakarta named Milea. However, his friends feel he's drifting away from the group due to Milea. A tragic event occurs when one of their members, Akew, is beaten to death. Milea's concern for Dilan's safety leads her to pretend to break up with him, hoping he'll distance himself from the gang.
