Lorna Drake, a feisty newcomer from England, assumes control of the ranch, only to clash frequently with Hoppy. Despite their disagreements, Lorna develops a soft spot for Hoppy, much to the dismay of her fiancé Ronald. This sparks a plot by the cunning Scar to team up with Ronald to take out Hoppy, but the cowboy outsmarts them. Just as Hoppy saves the day, a devastating forest fire breaks out, putting Lorna's life in peril.
