The Old Barn Dance background

The Old Barn Dance

In this gripping drama, a community of passionate horse breeders finds themselves in a battle for survival as a ruthless tractor company seeks to supplant their traditional methods with modern technology, threatening the very existence of their beloved equine heritage.

In the movie, Sally Dawson convinces Gene Autry to sign a contract to perform on her struggling radio station. Unbeknownst to Gene, the sponsor of his program is a tractor company he is competing against in his horse-selling business. When the ranchers who purchased tractors from the company struggle to make payments and Maxwell forecloses, they mistakenly blame Gene Autry for their financial troubles.
