The Savage Horde background

The Savage Horde

A U.S. Army deserter finds temporary solace in a small Utah town, but soon becomes embroiled in a heated land feud between local ranchers. As he tries to evade capture, he must weigh his sense of duty against the harsh realities of survival.

John "Ringo" Baker shoots an Army Captain in self-defense and is pursued by his brother, Lieutenant Mike Baker. Ringo flees to Utah to see Livvy Weston, but is wounded while evading a U.S. Cavalry patrol led by his brother. He seeks refuge in the town of Gunlock, where he befriends Glenn Larrabee, owner of a small ranch targeted by Wade Proctor. Ringo joins forces with Glenn and the other ranchers to resist Proctor's threats, while also facing off against a hired gunman, Dancer, and his own brother, who is closing in on him.
