In 2015, construction in Baden-Baden awakens an evil troll turned to stone in the 15th century. To avoid detection, the troll takes over Vanessa Majer's body and enslaves her. Meanwhile, the troll, now in Vanessa's form, searches for Charlie, Vanessa's daughter's virgin boyfriend, whose blood is needed to open a portal to a magical prison. The troll seeks the Great Book of Spells with the ominous King of the Lake's help. However, the author Dr. Fischer and curious neighbor Béatrice eventually uncover the troll's plans.
