A High Wind in Jamaica

In this adventurous tale, a group of children from Jamaica are sent to England by their parents, who fear they are growing up too wild. However, their journey takes an unexpected turn when their ship is hijacked by pirates, leaving the kids stranded on the pirate vessel. The children, including a girl named Emily, initially view their situation as a thrilling adventure. Emily, in particular, forms an unlikely bond with the pirate captain, Chavez.
