In the upcoming movie, a sound recordist captures a mesmerizing tune during the Mumbai Ganpati festival and shares it with her friend in the US. Inspired by the melody, her friend travels to Mumbai to find the original band that played it. Despite auditioning numerous groups, they are unable to locate the correct musicians. Unbeknownst to them, the tune was actually performed by a band led by Taraat, a man who makes a living by extorting money from local politicians. As he shows the American visitor around Mumbai, he keeps his true identity as a musician a secret, fearing that his band's lack of recognition would lead to disrespect.
