Battle Stations background

Battle Stations

In the midst of World War II, a US Navy ship navigates perilous waters to confront the Japanese fleet in a heart-pumping battle.

A WWII aircraft carrier, believed to have been sunk by the Japanese, returns to the Pacific theater in early 1945, prompting a fierce Japanese retaliation. After being severely damaged, the carrier limps back to the United States, while its captain, known for his toughness, shows compassion by not punishing a pilot who made a critical mistake.
