A secret service agent, disillusioned with the new president's morals, is reassigned to protect the "football" - a briefcase containing the nuclear arsenal's control. While the agent is responsible only for the briefcase, a crisis unfolds when the president and the football are captured during unofficial negotiations with a Chinese businessman.
