The race takes place on a 13.4-kilometer cordoned-off country road, where drivers alternate every few hours, pushing their concentration and cars to the limit. The story centers around the fierce competition between German driver Stahler in a Ferrari 512LM and American driver Delaney in a Gulf Team Porsche 917. Delaney is under immense pressure due to a tragic accident he was involved in the previous year, which resulted in the death of his friend Lisa's husband.
