A high-stakes racing driver is forced to reevaluate his career after a devastating crash at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix leaves his teammate severely injured.

Pete Aron, a prominent American Grand Prix driver, is let go by his Jordan-BRM racing team after a devastating crash at Monaco that leaves his British teammate, Scott Stoddard, injured. As Stoddard fights to regain his health, Aron takes a new job with the Japanese Yamura team, while also becoming embroiled in a complicated romance with Stoddard's estranged wife.
