After being released from prison, a dwarf criminal named Calvin joins his brother Percy to steal a valuable diamond for a mobster. The brothers are pursued by the police, and Calvin hides the diamond in the purse of an executive named Vanessa Edwards. Calvin then disguises himself as a baby and is left at the Edwards' doorstep, where he is taken in by the couple, who are struggling to have a child.
