When a family visits a Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game, they unknowingly find themselves in the midst of a terrorist takeover. The arena has been seized, and the Vice President and other high-ranking officials are being held hostage. As the only one aware of the situation, Darren must act quickly to subdue the terrorists and prevent them from blowing up the building at the end of the game. With the stakes raised, Darren must also find a way to prolong the game into overtime.
