The Big Sleep

In England, a private investigator unravels a complex web of blackmail and murder that ensnares a prominent military officer, his unconventional daughters, a pornography tycoon, and a notorious criminal.

Private investigator Philip Marlowe is hired by wealthy General Sternwood to look into a half-hearted blackmail attempt on one of his daughters, which leads him to uncover a more sinister plot connected to the disappearance of his other daughter's husband.
