Three doctors, Trevor, Bracken, and Phillips, are sent to Africa to find a cure for infantile paralysis. Trevor's family joins him, but his son Jan and a chimpanzee become lost in a menagerie after a lion attack. Trevor is presumed dead, and 15 years later, the remaining doctors return to Africa, searching for Jan, who has been raised by jungle animals.
