In New York, detectives Tarek Richards and Linda Masterson investigate a series of mysterious murders targeting martial arts masters, with wounds resembling tiger scratches. The prime suspect, Chong, is arrested, but escapes with the help of his brother, a crime lord in San Francisco's Chinatown. Richards and Masterson pursue Chong, only to be captured by his followers and forced into a bizarre underground martial arts tournament. The four finalists, each with mystical abilities, must combine their powers to open a time portal during the Chinese New Year.
