Two men, Ben and Avery Dankert, escape a toxic family environment and move to Toronto with Ben's inheritance. They struggle to make ends meet, working low-paying jobs to provide for their son Zach. Ben dreams of opening his own garage, while Avery wants to run her own restaurant, but their lack of funds holds them back.
