Lucy Hargrove, a screenwriter, is hired to remake a beloved holiday movie, "His Merry Wife!", and is sent to Biltmore Estate for research. She discovers an hourglass that allows her to travel to the 1947 set, where she uncovers the truth about the original ending. She gets close to Jack Huston, a film star, but her presence threatens the production's future.
