A New York City detective, struggling to come to terms with a tragic mistake, is sent to Puerto Rico for a case, where he must navigate a new environment and language barrier. As a powerful hurricane hits the island, he and his new partner respond to a call that leads them to a market and then an apartment building, where they find two elderly men refusing to evacuate. Suddenly, a group of armed robbers appears, and a shootout ensues.
