A bandit gang has taken over Monument City, a Mexican border town, using experts in claim-jumping and high-grading to terrorize the residents. Saloon owner Barney Bronson is suspected of being the leader, but the real mastermind is the local express agent, a traitor to his employer. Sheriff Sam Dolan enlists the help of Trigger Tim Rand, a famous gunslinger and marshal, to clean up the town.
