The Santa Clause

When a careless person accidentally causes Santa's fall on Christmas Eve, they are forced to take on the duties of the jolly old man, bringing chaos and hilarity to the holiday season.

Scott Calvin is shocked to learn his ex-wife and her husband have tried to break the news to their 6-year-old son, Charlie, that Santa isn't real. On Christmas Eve, Scott reads "The Night Before Christmas" and then receives an unexpected visitor. When Santa falls off his roof, he disappears, leaving Scott with a suit and instructions. Scott puts on the suit and is transported around the town delivering gifts, only to be taken to the North Pole and informed he is now Santa.
