Walk Don't Run

In 1960s Tokyo, a housing shortage during the Summer Olympic Games forces a trio - two men and a woman - to share a small apartment, sparking a series of comedic events as the older man attempts to play matchmaker for the younger pair.

British industrialist Sir William Rutland, known as Bill to his friends, finds himself in a predicament in Tokyo, Japan during the 1964 Summer Olympic Games. He's struggling to find a hotel room due to the influx of visitors, but lucks out by spotting an ad on a British Embassy message board for a sublet room. Bill wrangles his way into the apartment of Christine Easton, who's renting out her sitting room to a female roommate. However, he's not the only one who finds his way into her flat - he meets Steve Davis, an American Olympic athlete, who also sublets the room without Christine's knowledge. As the three navigate their living situation, Christine finds herself falling for Steve, much to the dismay of her fiancé, Julius. Bill, who has a soft spot for Christine, tries to push the couple together and get rid of Julius. When the truth about the roommates comes to light, Bill sees an opportunity for Christine and Steve's happiness.
