Two men, Ben and Avery Dankert, escape a toxic family environment and move to Toronto with Ben's inheritance. They struggle to make ends meet, working low-paying jobs to provide for their son Zach. Ben dreams of opening his own garage, while Avery wants to run her own restaurant, but their lack of funds holds them back. When their boss institutes a new policy that requires them to lease trucks from him, Ben turns to a loan shark to get the money. However, the police contract they were counting on doesn't materialize, putting their lives at risk. Ben must decide whether to join the cutthroat world of chasers, tow truck drivers who monitor police frequencies, or find another way to save their family.
