Mitch Lawrence, a struggling Chicago cabbie, faces a bleak future after being diagnosed with inoperable stomach cancer. Desperate to provide for his pregnant wife, he reconsiders a job offer from author Lou Webber to eliminate a stalker. After completing the task, Mitch's symptoms mysteriously disappear, and the stalker resurfaces. As events unfold, Mitch becomes embroiled in a dark game where morals are compromised, and anyone can be bought.
