The Mystery Gang, now pursuing individual careers, reunite for Daphne's birthday celebration in Louisiana. As they explore the region for her TV show, they're confronted with a series of seemingly paranormal occurrences, only to discover each "ghost" is just a human in disguise. The group soon crosses paths with Lena Dupree, who leads them to Moonscar Island in search of a genuine specter. However, they soon find themselves entangled in a sinister web of werecats and zombies, all under the command of the ghostly Moonscar the Pirate.
