In this movie, a psychiatrist named Dr. Henry Carter navigates a cast of complex characters in Hollywood, including a struggling actor, a director with a drug addiction, a germaphobe producer, a young writer, a truant high school student, and an actress facing midlife crises. As Henry deals with his own grief and guilt over the loss of his wife, his friends stage an intervention and a patient's file is stolen. Meanwhile, a pregnant assistant discovers a young writer's potential and Henry's drug dealer supplies him with potent marijuana. The film explores whether anything positive can emerge from this chaotic mix of characters.
